LOCATION
Nestled into the base of the legendary Superstition Mountains and surrounded by lush Sonoran Desert on the eastern edge of metropolitan Phoenix in the Valley of the Sun. The proximithy to downtown Phoenix and the airport (35 minutes), shopping, culture and entertainment provides the best of metropolitan living in a stunning pastoral setting.
HISTORY
The land was purchased in the early 1990s by Lyle Anderson in an area whose first inhabitants were the prehistoric Salado cliff dwellers followed by the Hohokams who settled at the base of the Superstitions around A.D. 900. The area is also rich in legend pertaining to the Lost Dutchman Gold Mine, which was supposedly rediscovered by a German immigrant, Jacob Waltz, in the 1870s. The mine was first found in 1846 by the Peralta family of northern Mexico.
THE COMMUNITY
This private, gated community of 927 acres offers charming, Old World neighborhoods of custom homes and elegant villas featurinng an architectural integrity that harmonizes with the natural surroundings. THE CLUB
The private club available to Superstition Mountain property owners, featuring two 18-hole Nicklaus-designed courses that Jack Nicklaus himself considers to be the best conditioned greens he's ever played. Both courses have hosted internationally acclaimed golf tournaments such as the LPGA Safeway International and the Champions Tour Major championship, The Tradition. The nearly 50,000-square-foot clubhouse, authentially designed to resemble a century-old Tuscan hilltop village, affords impressive views of the Superstitions and well-appointed amenities including men's and ladies' locker rooms, two daily dining venues featuring casual and fine dining menus and an award-winning golf shop. The Sports Club features spa and fitness servicrs, four tennis courts, cushioned half-court basketball court and a 25-meter oval lap pool.
Construction is set to begin this fall on a new Sports Club and Spa, an 11,000-square-foot facility featurig cardio, resistance and aerobics training rooms, four spa treatment rooms, a manicure services salon, sports and spa shop and club cafe.
LOCAL ACTIVITIES
Lost Dutchman State Park offering miles of hiking trails in the Superstition Mountains, horseback ridiing boating and fishing at Canyon Lake and Apache Lake, Goldfield Ghost Town, Torrilla Flat and the Old West Highway along the Apache Trail to Roosevelt Dam.

Club Village
The Club Village neighborhood is planned for 76 homes with six homes in an enclave that share a common courtyard. The Village is located along the 17th and 18th holes of the Lost Gold Course and the Grand Pasio walking trail, and is convenient to both the Superstition Mountain Clubhouse and the future Sports Club and Spa, which is planned to open in 2009.
The Villas have an Old World European architectural style with Spanish paver entries, sandcast clay roof tiles, wooden shutters and brick accents. Standard features include Viking appliances, alder cabinets, Spanish paver driveways, epoxy garage floors and granite slab kitchen countertops. There are covered terraces and private enclosed yards. Each enclave has a decorative welcoming gate that opens to the courtyard. The Village's two floor plans have a variety of options and features that may be personalized to the individual home owner.
